Today’s guest, Beth Grant, is a person with many interests and many talents. It’s those diverse interests that finally boosted her out of a very successful corporate career (she was VP at a large company) to start her own business. She wasn’t happy in her corporate careers… as she says, she as a corporate misfit. When she stepped out of her career to try her own thing the first thing she did was to become a writer. She took on a part time job, wrote when she was able, and eventually had to take on a job again to support herself. But she didn’t give up. Soon she started another venture and this time made it work. You can hear Beth’s whole story… one that includes stops, starts, and restarts, on this episode of The New Super Woman Entrepreneur.
I was emulating what others were doing but I wasn’t being successful.
When Beth started working on her second entrepreneurial effort doing spiritual mentoring she was trying to do everything she saw the “successful” coaches and online people doing to move their businesses forward. But nothing seemed to fit. She went so far as to offer a free introductory consultation to her mailing list and she was able to set up 120 appointments… but very few of them were working. She decided to throw away the script she was using and just talk with people from the heart. That’s when things began to work, one person at a time. Find out more about how Beth learned to be true to herself in this episode.
Using the Archetype Alignment Grid to know your right approach to clients.
In working with clients over the years Beth Grant has come up with an amazingly helpful tool to help entrepreneurs determine their natural styles for working with people. She calls it the “Archetype Alignment Grid.” In this episode Beth walks through the grid in detail, telling how she uses it and what you can learn about it and your approach to business from taking advantage of this tool. If you’d like to get a better handle on your type of persuasion power and how it informs the way you should structure your business and relate to clients, you’ve got to listen to this episode.
Have you ever felt that the WAY you’re making your offers don’t fit YOU?
Many people do. It’s because they’ve learned and subscribed to a model of making a sales or marketing presentation that doesn’t fit their natural personality or natural style. When that happens your pitch will feel forced and awkward and those hearing it will pick up on that. Why does it feel that way? Because it is. You’ve got to learn how to present your offer or pitch in a way that fits your personality and style. When you do, you’ll feel more comfortable and “YOU” than you ever have, and your potential customers will hear the real you come through your message and be drawn to respond. Beth Grant is a pro at determining personal styles and can help you know yours. Listen to her explanation on this approach on this episode of The New Super Woman Entrepreneur.
