His wife’s diagnosis of pancreatic cancer pushed him into pulling back from his practice work so that he could take care of his greatest patient, his wife. The two of them, along with her brother who is a drug development researcher, developed a treatment plan to take her to a “cancer free” state. It worked. It was during that crisis time that Dr. Mache began exploring ways to generate revenue for his family while he was out of the office during his wife’s sickness.
